Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant / San Francisco

In Short – This sleek watering hole sits in a prime location in the Ferry Building. More than half of the vast space is devoted to shelves and boxes stocked with bottles. Golden walls warm the industrial feel evoked by poured-concrete floors and exposed ducts. The wine bar is tucked behind a waist-high railing, encircled by high-backed wooden stools. A dozen tall tables also offer a respite for weary shoppers.
The Details on Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant
When to Go:
Quiet most of the week, this casual spot is swarmed during Saturday's farmers' market, even at the unlikely hour of 10am.
What to Drink:
Themed wine flights highlight regions and varietals, and include up to four different selections. Prices range from $8 to $20, but extra-special flights can cost up to $40.
Parking:
Patrons get two-hours' validation at the Half Pier parking lot, which is north of the Ferry Building.
